❋Spring Writing Group

Dates coming soon!

A cozy place to write with abandon and without critique among other lovely people.

“Our weekly writing sessions started as a return to writing and have become the safe space where mamas come together with baby, even fur babies, and all that dwindles within. I’ve found these sessions to be rather liberating. Reading our stream of words aloud without trying to impress anyone can be at times cathartic, a release of perfective tendencies and sometimes just nonsense pouring out of a distracted mind. No matter the form, a sense of letting go comes along and we’re reminded that we’re not alone in this long journey of mothering our children and ourselves. Thank you Lani for creating this container for us!”

—Naia Aitken, Marin County, CA (Mama of 3)

  • “Lani’s unique form of magic comes from her ability to blend the real, the raw, and the powerful with softness, grace, and beauty, allowing all aspects of motherhood and self to be seen and held. I loved her weaving of poetry and prose with creative prompts and ways to reflect and share. I felt safe, connected, and supported in her care.”

—Dianna Kane, Mama & Somatic Coach

  • “Lani’s authenticity and depth instilled a sense of safety and trust in me, immediately. Having a weekly mother’s circle that she facilitated has been such a sacred and important part of my new motherhood journey. My favorite aspect of the group has been having the opportunity to self-reflect on the changes, the challenges, the grief, the joy, and the raw beauty of this vulnerable, sensitive, and unique season of life among other women who truly get it and can see me and feel me with unconditional love.”

    —Gianna Mautone, Mama & Chiropractor

  • “During the months of being in Lani’s group, I felt my sense of ease, confidence, and trust in this most precious time in my life grow significantly. Even just being in community with other new moms is medicine, but the experience was further nourished by the careful and deliberate way that Lani brought us together. This woman is a treasure trove of literature and reflections on motherhood that gave me words to articulate and understand my own experience as a mom. She is grounded and real and the perfect one for this container.”

    —Camryn Rose, Mama & Entrepreneur

Mama’s Groups in the Wild

Mama’s Groups in the Wild ——click below if you are interested and would like more information on a Mamas group that meets somewhere beautiful in nature in Marin monthly.  I’m gathering interest and would love to facilitate a group dedicated to weaving community and sisterhood among mamas. This would be open to moms in different seasons of their motherhood journey, who have children of different ages.  Ideal for those wanting more community with other moms and are excited about inviting in the elements of the wild into the experience.  In this group we will be building nature altars, doing rite of passage work to honor and mark transitions, seasons, chapters of our motherhood journeys, and we will have the opportunity to incorporate mini day quests into the groups.   Each group would meet outside and would include some brief contemplative time in nature as well as a a theme/topic that would guide our time/exploring/sharing/witnessing/creating together.

*Please note, this is a mamas only group. As much as we love the little ones, we ask that this be a time for just grown ups in order to allow a depth and quality of presence. Thanks for your understanding.
